The film tells the story of two new immigrants from Hunan, Lin Ziyuan and her sister Lin Zique, who grew up in Hong Kong. They have a drug-addicted father (played by Taiwanese actor Wu Kangren). The 14th Beijing International Film Festival was held from April 18 to 26.
