Hong Kong Hospital Authority’s recruitment in the UK received enthusiastic response

Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital Authority, Dr Ko Po-sing, said that he introduced the latest situation of Hong Kong’s public medical services to medical students and practicing doctors, and also communicated with participants on the working environment, salary and benefits, promotion prospects and medical development advantages of Hong Kong’s public medical services. , they are all very interested and will seriously consider returning to Hong Kong to work and serve patients.

The Hospital Authority has strengthened its efforts to recruit medical talents overseas, including establishing a global medical talent recruitment center to coordinate overseas recruitment activities, regularize overseas recruitment activities, and arrange representatives to travel to different regions to promote and recruit medical talents. The HA provides a one-stop service, allowing interested medical professionals to inquire with the HA through an online platform or instant messaging software. The Hospital Authority will assist in matching suitable positions and will also assist applicants in arranging other procedures to work in Hong Kong.

The Hospital Authority’s full-time doctor turnover rate in 2023/24 is 6.1%, an improvement from 7.7% last year. As of the end of March, there were 138 non-locally trained doctors working in the Hospital Authority, and the number is expected to increase to 200 by the end of the year, including doctors from overseas and the mainland.
