What is the difference between Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a), and what are their selling points?
Nothing Ear
Nothing Ear continues and upgrades the classic transparent design of Ear (2), equipped with an 11mm custom dynamic driver unit, and the ceramic diaphragm makes the earphones provide richer and fuller sound quality and crisper treble, and improves the dual cavity of Ear (2) Designed with two extra vents to improve airflow and make the sound quality clearer. The headset supports LHDC 5.0 streaming high-resolution audio up to 1Mbps and 24 bit/192 kHz, and LDAC encoding streaming up to 990 kbps and 24 bit/96 kHz audio, making the sound quality purer. At the same time, through the Nothing X application, you can create personal audio profiles and take full advantage of the advanced equalizer.
Ear also supports a new smart active noise reduction algorithm (Smart ANC), which will check the noise leakage between the earphones and the ear canal to enhance the noise reduction effect, and automatically apply three different levels of high, medium and low based on background noise interference. The new driver unit provides 2.5 times the transient power, and the dual-cavity design makes the bass performance better. Well, it is also Hi-Res Audio certified, supports LDAC encoding, and can stream audio up to 990 kbps and 24 bit/96 kHz via Bluetooth, but it does not have Ear’s LHDC 5.0 technology.
The Ear (a) charging box has a built-in 500mAh battery, and each earphone has a built-in 46mAh battery. A full charge can provide up to 42.5 hours of music playback, and can be connected to two devices at the same time for easy switching. Like Ear, Ear (a) low-latency mode reduces audio latency based on the connection to the other device.
